This work depicts The Knights of the Order of the Bah exiting the west enterance of Westminister Abbey on their way to the House of Lords on June 20, 1749. To the left of the cathedral is St. Margaret’s church with King Street in the background.

The wedding of Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, and Catherine “Kate” Middleton took place here at Westminister Cathedral on April 29th, 2011.

Artistic liberties have been taken in this interpretation of an oil painting by Giovanni Antonio Canal, known as “Canaletto”.
