Discovering New England At Chabot Fine Art Gallery

Chabot Fine Art Gallery is pleased to present the opening of the Discovering New England Painting Competition. The beauty and culture of the New England region was the inspiration for artists to create works with an emphasis on the diversification of styles in our Discovering New England Competition sponsored by Jerry’s Artarama from Providence RI. Juror Michael Giaquinto, the exhibitions curator from the Cape Cod Museum of Art, Dennis Massachusetts has selected the works from the submissions received for this collection from artists living within the New England Region.
The following awards will be presented at the Opening Reception: First Place: Reunion by George Hartley, Second Place:McArdle Bridge, Chelsea by Steven Lush, Third Place: Chores Can Wait by Mary Felton, Honorable Mention: Winter in Jamaica Pond by Sidhartha Pani, Honorable Mention: Winter Medley II by Edwin Wilwayco, and Juror Choice Award: Sunrise by Emilio Ferrara.
The Gallery Will Be Open on Monday Memorial Day 11am-4pm
