Double Vision

Chabot Fine Art Gallery is currently displaying a collaboration of two different styles that will delight the eye in a new show entitled “Double Vision Double Vision”. Daniel Kelley’s figurative paintings and Lee Chabot’s approach to perspective allow dynamic and interesting perspectives for the viewer.

“Double Vision Double Vision” will be on display from August 10 – September 4 2010

Opening Reception Gallery Night August 19th 5-9PM

Kelley states that for years I have worked with different techniques and styles depending on the way in which I see my subject. Sometimes I like to use a pallet knife and thick heavy oil paint and other times I work with acrylic to achieve the look I am after. Whatever the technique my goal is to make a connection between a work of art and the viewer.

Chabot’s work dives deep into the picture plane, offering spacious views of the scenery, or dances around your point of view, concurrently providing multiple perspectives. This stylistic quality is the hinge upon which all other artistic elements hang. Chabot possesses a wonderful sense for color, employing an exuberant palette that is bright and charming.

Lee Chabot is currently preparing for exhibitions in October and November of 2010 in Chelsea, New York City, Ferrara, Italy and Fort Lauderdale Florida. For more info for the New York City exhibit log onto: http://www.agora-gallery.com/artistinvite/lee_chabot.aspx
