Farmers Market On The Hill
Chabot Fine Art Gallery is proud to announce the opening of a new farmers market across the street from the gallery. To accommodate the shoppers the gallery will be opened on Saturday at 9AM.
Opening Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Saturday August 7th 9AM
Starting August 7th there will be a farmers market every Saturday from 9AM -1PM at St. John’s Park located on Atwells Avenue sponsored by the Federal Hill Commerce Association.
Keeping with the tradition of great food found on Federal Hill one of our skilled chefs will have a one-hour demo every Saturday with a tasting beginning at 9AM.
Confreda Farms from Cranston will be the exclusive vendor for all the fresh fruit, vegetables, herbs and plants. Also, fresh flowers, breads, pizza, pastries, calzones, dog treats, honey products, doughboys, etc.

Chabot Fine Art Gallery welcomes Peace Love Studios to the Peoples Choice Awards!
Chabot Fine Art Gallery is proud to collaborate with Peace Love Studios for this great cause! Peace Love Studios is a non-profit organization founded by Jeffrey Sparr, who has exhibited at Chabot Fine Art Gallery. Jeffrey Sparr’s goal is to enrich the lives of individuals coping with mental illness and he has created a symbol of acceptance which all people, sufferers and non-sufferers alike, could unite together, thus the symbol of Peace Love.
This is a great opportunity to vote for your favorite artist including works of Kate Salvi, Jeffrey Sparr, Gunther Nuissi, and John Purcell from the Peace Love Studios. The artist who created the work that receives the most votes at each gallery will receive a Peoples Choice Award.
You could win a $100.00 gift certificate to the merchant of your choice that is located on Historic Federal Hill. All you need to do is select and vote for your favorite piece of art at each gallery. The votes will then be gathered from the galleries and the following week a winner will be selected from all the voting participants. By visiting all the four galleries you will have four chances of winning the gift certificate!

Beatles Art Collection
Chabot Fine Art Gallery releases special collection in recognition of the release of the digitally re-mastered versions of all the Beatles studio albums on September 9, 2009, we will be exhibiting from our collection works by Ringo Starr, John Lennon, Sir Paul McCartney and Hirschfeld.
The collection is composed of limited edition framed prints (some are the last in the editions) that are hand signed by Ringo Starr and Sir Paul McCartney. John Lennon’s “Two Is One” is not signed.
Posters and limited edition books by the Ringo Starr will also be available for purchase.

Meet The Artists
Join us this Thursday, September 24th from 6 – 8 PM, for an evening of mingling with the artists while listening to light jazz and classical music by pianist Bryan Barrette. You will have the opportunity to meet with six of our outstanding artists and ask questions about their work while enjoying hors d’ oeuvres and sipping wine. This is a wonderful way to enjoy the beautiful works in this collection which include Expressionism, New England Coastal Scenes, Abstract, and Realism in the mediums of Oil, Acrylic and Watercolor. New pieces of renowned glass artist, Neal Drobnis have arrived. Also included are Cherry Wood sculptures by Anthony (Tony) Woidyla, who is celebrating his 50th Anniversary of his graduation from Rhode Island School of Design. Whitmore Boogaerts never disappoint with his kinetic and stationary sculptures found in our Courtyard Sculpture Garden.

Chabot Gallery Presents Original Painting To Karen Adams
A fundraising event for the Federal Hill House was held on October 28th at the Roger Williams Botanical Center. Lee Chabot donated an original painting “Portofino” to the live auction hosted by Karen Adams, an award winning anchor at Eyewitness News with WPRI-TV and Fox Providence. Lee & Chris Chabot presented an original pastel “Provence” by Lee Chabot to Karen Adams for her generous spirit throughout the city but most importantly for her support to Federal Hill ouse. Joyce de Weldon, widow of world renowned sculptor Felix de Weldon, and Marine Veteran Walter Marx visit the Chabot Gallery in Providence, Rhode Island. Marine Sergeants Hanna and Willis received a citation from the City of Providence to the United States Marine Corps for their service to our country.

In recognition of the commemorative 40th Anniversary of America’s launch to the moon, Chabot Fine Art Gallery unveils the “Man Reaching To Outer Space” sculpture by world-renowned sculptor Felix de Weldon. The sculpture was created in 1957 and was never published. It is now cast in bronze with a special limited edition of 195 pieces. Included in the purchase is a signed Certificate of Authenticity by Felix de Weldon before his passing.
“Man reaching To Outer Space” was inspired by the space age and represents mankind united in pursuit of its dream to reach beyond the earth’s limitations and conquer the heavens.
